Divide a family plan
Paying for “entertainment” is the cable bill and not paying for anything else. But these days, Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, Apple TV, HBO, Amazon Prime, live TV services, and sports channels / apps are getting harder. “If you cut the cable,” you can save money, but when you get the entertainment you want, you’ll probably have to pick up and pay for different apps.
It probably doesn’t make sense to pay for all of them, but it’s a nice variety if you feel like you’re sleeping with a cup of popcorn and you’re missing out on a show or movie. But is it possible to get popular channels and your favorite movies and latest shows without breaking the bank? Yes! Here are six tips to save money on streaming services every month while you get all the content you love.
Most streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney + allow you to watch at least two devices at once. So find a friend or two to share the cost of an account. Set up your own unique user profile in your account so you can receive personalized recommendations and not step on your friend's digital toes.
The friends system works well with a monthly subscription to music streaming services. Spotify, Apple Music and other audio streaming apps have family plans that will allow you to share an account with up to 6 people, slightly more than the regular subscription price.
As for Amazon Prime, use the "home" feature to share between two different people. You and your significant other relatives / siblings / parents can have your own account and enjoy free shipping, delivery and Amazon Prime Video services, but at half the cost.
